"The Rise Guys Morning Show" is a weekday morning show on New Rock 93.3, The Planet (WTPT) FM, broadcast from Greenville, South Carolina. The show is hosted by Skip and Mattman and features Paige, Nine, and a supporting cast including the P1 Family. Nine ran for Mayor of Greenville, SC in 2007. The show includes Candid Phone Scams, War of the Roses, Truth and Consequences and the P1 open line. [Rise Guys Website] Skip and Mattman were suspended for a week in October, 2007.

Candid Phone Scams

Rise Guys' Candid Phone Scams are live prank calls to local area businesses and citizens. They are beyond childish and simply just not funny!

War of the Roses

The Rise Guys' War of the Roses segment is a public service to the P1 audience. They have a volunteer who believes that his or her partner is cheating and asks the Rise Guys to investigate. The Rise Guys call the suspected cheater as the "Rise and Shine Florist" offering a free, no strings attached gift of a dozen roses to anyone in the area. After the first name and message of the recipient is received they confront the suspected cheater on air.

7 17 07 episode of assumed death

A now infamous episode of War of the Roses resulted in a sad and shocking revelation for listener Chris. Chris called in about his girlfriend and him having trouble and the Rise Guys called to find out what was going on. When they called Chris' girlfriend's cell phone, her boss answered, and at first Chris was livid, thinking she was probably cheating on him with her boss. The boss, stunned at the moment, lied to Chris that his girlfriend was killed in a side-impact collision. It was later revealed that the girlfriend was playing a practical joke on the boyfriend. In radio, a P1 is the primary target audience. To the Rise Guys, a P1 is anyone who listens, at least an hour a day, to the "Rise Guys Morning Show".
