Racine (band)

Racine (band)

Racine is an Anglo-American Indie band, the concept of British vocalist Wendy James, formerly of Transvision Vamp, as well as a solo artist, and was initially a solo project. Band members are Henric Strahl, James Meynell and Ray Sullivan.

Following their first album, "Racine No. 1," which was released on One Little Indian and Rough Trade Records in September 2006, the band played venues around the UK and in New York.

Racine's second album, "Racine 2," initially released exclusively on iTunes, was released on Jungle Records 3 March 2008.

The band toured Europe in Spring 2007, performing in Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona, London, Dublin, and Madrid, touring again in July 2007.

Wendy James and Racine toured Europe extensively in March and April 2008. As promotional artefact, she partnered with emerging underground artist Elena Gallen to release Wendy James' Official T-Shirt.

"Racine 3" commenced recording August 2008.
