Hospital (1970 film)

"Hospital" is a 1970 cinéma vérité documentary film made for television which explores the daily activities of the people at a large-city hospital, with emphasis on its emergency ward and outpatient clinics. It should not be confused with the 1971 black comedy "The Hospital" which starred George C. Scott.

It was directed by Frederick Wiseman who won two Emmys for Outstanding Achievement in News Documentary Programming - Individuals and Outstanding Achievement in News Documentary Programming - Programs.

In 1994, this film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry as being deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
