Jermaine Crawford

Jermaine Crawford (born in 1992) is an American actor best known for appearing on the HBO original series "The Wire" as Duquan "Dukie" Weems. Crawford started performing at the age of three. His experience includes various professional projects. He's had prominent roles in the theatrical productions of "Children of Eden" at the Ford Theatre directed by David Bell; "Carousel" and "The Miracle Worker" at the Olney Theatre, as directed by Bill Pasquanti; and, "A Midsummer's Night Dream" at the historic Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC, as directed by Mark Lamos. Jermaine was a youth spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association. He has won many singing competitions throughout Maryland and Washington, DC.

Recently, Jermaine attended Ernest Everett Just Middle School in Mitchellville, Maryland.
