Lourie-Love Field was a
soccer stadium located on thecampus ofPrinceton University inPrinceton, New Jersey . It was home to the PrincetonTigers soccer teams.In 1986, the former Bedford Field was named after Princeton
football alumni Donold B. Lourie andGeorge H. Love , both 1922 graduates, and seated 2,000 spectators.Lourie-Love Field hosted its last soccer games on
November 4 ,2006 , when the Princeton men and women faced theUniversity of Pennsylvania . It will be renovated in 2007 and re-opened as Princeton Soccer Stadium for the 2008 soccer season. The Princeton soccer teams will play their 2007 seasons atPrinceton Stadium , which is home to the Princeton football team and occasionallacrosse matches.In 2004, Lourie-Love Field hosted four
NCAA tournament games as the Princeton women's team defeatedCentral Connecticut State University ,Villanova University ,Boston College and theUniversity of Washington to advance to the College Cup, which was held inCary, North Carolina . More than 2,500 fans watched Princeton defeat Washington to become the firstIvy League team to advance to the final four of a 64-team tournament in any sport.External links
