Jorge Alvarez better known as Kurious Jorge or just Kurious is an underground rap artist from New York City.

Biography

Kurious is of Puerto Rican and Cuban descent [http://www.ohhla.com/anonymous/kurious/monkey/walklike.kur.txt] and grew up in Spanish Harlem [ [http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:ze548qbbbtb4~T1 allmusic ((( Kurious > Biography ))) ] ] . He debuted in 1991 on Rebel & Johnny Jay's track "Powerule" on Interscope Records' "Young Stars From Nowhere, Vol. 1". He then appeared on Pete Nice and Daddy Rich's album "Dust II Dust". The duo helped Kurious get a record deal with Sony Music. In 1993, he released his first single "Walk Like A Duck". In 1994, Kurious released his debut album "A Constipated Monkey" which featured hit singles "I'm Kurious" and "Uptown Sh_t". Unfortunately, the album was not commercially successful and Kurious was dropped from the label.

Kurious never released a second album and seemingly disappeared from the music scene. But in 1999, he reemerged on MF DOOM's album "" on the track "?". He is currently in the MC group Monsta Island Czars with MF Grimm under the alias "Biollante".

In July 2007 Kurious signed a two album deal with the Amalgam Digital label to Reissue "A Constipated Monkey" with bonus tracks on September 18th 2007 worldwide as well as releasing his second album due in early 2008 featuring MF Doom production.
