Raccoon City , he helps Alice fight against the Umbrella commandos. Nemesis is apparently killed when a shot-down helicopter crash-lands onto him.In the novel adaptation of "Apocalypse", it is revealed he is only incapacitated under the helicopter and that he wasn't killed until the nuclear strike occurred. Resident Evil film character
name= Dr. Isaacs
appearance=
portray=Iain Glen
age= Unknown
gender=Male
relations= None
status= DeceasedDr. Isaacs (played by
Iain Glen ) is ascientist employed by Umbrella. The character of Dr. Isaacs was named after the actorJason Isaacs , who was originally considered for the role and provided a voice over narration in "Resident Evil". At the time, Isaacs' role was credited as "Dr. William Birkin/Narrator", and after he could not make an appearance in "Apocalypse",Iain Glen was brought in. The character was then changed to Dr. Isaacs. There is a bit of controversy over the name of the character. In the shots of Issacs in the maze identify him as Doctor J. Issacs. The novelization of the film identifies him as Sam Issacs.First introduced briefly at the end of ' as a scientist who was involved in the creation of the Nemesis Program with
Major Timothy Cain , after Dr. Birkin was removed from the project. His role broadens in ' when he becomes the main antagonist of the film, mutating into a Tyrant."Resident Evil: Apocalypse"
In "Apocalypse" Isaacs was head of a team of scientists at the
Raccoon City Hospital who experimented on Alice. After the zombie outbreak in Raccoon City, he continued further experimentation at a separate Umbrella laboratory, giving her a variety of telekinetic and super-human abilities. After Alice's escape, Isaacs activated "Program Alice", putting her under Umbrella's control."Resident Evil: Extinction"
In "Extinction", Dr. Isaacs has replaced Timothy Cain as North American Operations Director and is Head of Umbrella Sciences Division, all under the order of Umbrella chairman Albert Wesker. He has been tasked with finding a cure to the zombie plague that has swept the globe. Using blood samples from Alice, Dr. Isaacs and his team of scientists were able to create over one hundred clones of Alice for further experimentation. Through tests of survival, many of the clones have failed to live up to the expectations of the original Alice. Dr. Isaacs defies orders against his second in command, Captain Alexander Slater, and Wesker. During one of the holographic meetings with the Umbrella executives, Dr. Isaac records Wesker's voice, and edits the recording so Isaacs would have the spoken order allowing him the resources to go after Alice and capture her. Using his newly created Super-Undead against Alice and her friends, Isaacs is bitten by one of them and retreats back tothe Umbrella base - an underground outpost similar to The Hive. To prevent further infection of the T-virus, he attempts to use the anti-virus to cure himself and injects himself with multiple vials of the serum. He is then shot by Slater following orders from Wesker; however, Isaacs survives and kills his second-in-command with his mutated hand, stabbing him through the eyes and mouth, then proceeding to kill everyone at the base.
Isaacs, due to the increased infection from the bite and the anti-virus, mutates into a Tyrant- like creature. As this creature, he has the ability to rapidly heal his wounds. He is also able to use a stronger version of Alice's "telekinesis." He is killed by Alice, after being lead into a replica of the security corridor leading to the Red Queen's Chamber from the original Hive facility as part of Project: Alice's training. The laser grid activates and kills him, as it did to One in the first film.

When trapped in a sealed room, the Red Queen informed the survivors that Rain would have to be killed, because of the infection, in order to let the rest of them go. Jill Valentine (who appeared in Resident Evil: Apocalypse played bySienna Guillory ) would continue the role in Extinction. Later producers Paul W.S. Anderson and Jeremy Bolt decided to have a separate game character appear alongside the previous film's lead Alice (played by Milla Jovovich), saying, "We thought, rather than bring Jill back, put her with another game heroine."In "Resident Evil: Extinction", Claire leads a convoy of survivors, alongside Carlos Olivera, after the T-virus has overtaken most of the world's people. In the novelization, Claire organized the Convoy after being rescued by Carlos Olivera and L.J from a group of the undead. Later on traveling the city in his Cadillac, he crashes his car at the sight of zombified strippers, and was forced to flee on foot. Walking alone he was saved by a S.T.A.R.S. sniper positioned on the rooftop of an abandoned store. Joining the S.T.A.R.S. who had holed up in the building, L.J. witnessed the first deployment of Nemesis, who killed theS.T.A.R.S. members but left L.J. alive as the Nemesis's main operative was to kill all S.T.A.R.S. members. He was considered a "minimal" threat until he dropped his custom made golden Desert Eagles, which meant he wasn't a threat at all.Later on, L.J. ran into Jill and
Terri Morales and joined them in their search forAngela Ashford . At Angela's school, he is saved by U.B.C.S agentCarlos Oliveira from a zombie, who after killing the corpse later joins the group. L.J. then assists in their escape from Raccoon City as a nuclear strike by Umbrella was finalized. After the events at Raccoon city L.J, along with Carlos, Jill, and Angela rescued Alice from Umbrella's Headquarters."Resident Evil: Extinction"
Mike Epps returned as L.J. in "Resident Evil: Extinction" as a member of
Claire Redfield 's convoy, traveling through Nevada, and eventually to Las Vegas. Along with Carlos from the previous film, he is the only other survivor from Raccoon City. The novelization and film implies a romantic relationship with Betty, a nurse in the convoy from whom he hides an infected bite not long after he clears a motel for zombies.Early in the film, Carlos and L.J. search in an abandoned motel for gas, food and supplies but L.J. is attacked by zombies and is bitten severely; however, Carlos manages to help him in time, before he is bitten further. Afterwards, L.J. doesn't tell Betty and other members of the convoy that he has been infected. The convoy is then attacked by infected crows the next morning. L.J and Betty attempt to help those trapped in a school bus, but Betty stays behind to hold the windows and keep the crows from getting in the bus. She then saves the last child and passes him to L.J. When the crows finally break in, Betty tells L.J. to leave, and he is physically and mentally distraught when she is pecked to death. Arriving in Las Vegas, a horde of zombies attack and L.J. transforms during the ensuing battle, shortly after saving K-Mart and Carlos' lives. L.J. tries to bite K-Mart, but Carlos intervenes. L.J. manages to bite Carlos before his former friend shoots a bullet into his head.
In the book, it states that L.J. knew he was going to die but wanted to kill as many zombies as possible before it happened.
