Richard Moses Longfellow (24 June 1867- 17 May 1951) was a United States Army Private awarded the Medal of Honor for actions on 16 May 1899. Private Longfellow was part of Young's Scouts.

He is buried at Normal Hill Cemetery Lewiston, Idaho. His grave can be found in Div 4, Row 26, Lot 26, Grave 9.findagrave|6456419 Retrieved on 2007-11-24]

Citation:

:With 21 other scouts charged across a burning bridge, under heavy fire, and completely routed 600 of the enemy who were entrenched in a strongly fortified position.
