Karns Quality Foods is a privately owned supermarket chain in the Harrisburg metropolitan area of Pennsylvania. The company's corporate headquarters is in Mechanicsburg. Karns Quality Foods was founded in 1959 by David Karns and has been operated continuously by the Karns family since then. Currently, Karns has seven stores in the Central PA market: Lower Paxton Township, Lemoyne, Hampden Township, Boiling Springs, New Bloomfield, Middletown and Hershey. Karns Quality Foods also operates a commisary on the Naval base in Mechanicsburg.

While the origin of the company was a butcher shop the current format is a traditional grocery store with an emphasis on perishable items. All Karns stores also have a selection of fresh local produce and fresh baked goods.

Karns Foods has always been active in the community [ [http://www.karnfoods.com/community.asp] ] , supporting such organizations as the Muscular Dystrophy Association, American Cancer Society, Special Olympics, and others.

Karns Quality Foods was ranked as the 35th largest privately held corporation in Central Pennsylvania by the Central Penn Business Journal [Central Penn Business Journal Vol. 19 No. 1] . On September 11, 2006, Karns Quality Foods officially bought out the remaining Fox's Markets locations in Middletown and Hershey, Pennsylvania.
