Qasemi is the grandson of a famous Tajik singer of Afghanistan, who served as the official artist to the royal court. Qasemi is a traditional musical artist, specializing in theKharabat i style of "Khurasanian-Persian" or "Indo-Persian " classical music.He is the great-grandson of Qasemjo, Son of
Sitar jo.Qasem Jo is the founder of modernclassical music Orchestra in Radio Kabul at 1930.After the fall of Soviet backed government, he

Mr. Qasemi has returned to Afghanistan several times, working on preserving traditional central asian Persian´s musical styles. He collaborated with "Troubadour Productions" to produce "Qu Qu Qu, Barge Chinar: Children's Songs from Afghanistan",a children's songbook capturing traditional children's songs.
