Oswald Taylor Brown OBE FRCP(Glasg) FRCP(Ed) (11 October 1916 - 26 March 2006) was a Scottish consultant physician in Dundee, between 1951 and 1979[1]. He was appointed to the first consultant physician post in geriatric medicine in Scotland in 1951 serving Tayside, Perth and Angus and opened the first university department of geriatric medicine in Scotland[2]. He held the post of Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of St. Andrews. He is recognised as an early architect of geriatric care services in Scotland and was awarded an OBE in 1969 for this work.
