1977 ) is agraphic novelist based inChicago, Illinois , known for his thought-provoking explorations of the layered complexities of human life in his work.Biography
Paul Hornschemeier was born in
Cincinnati, Ohio in1977 and raised in nearbyGeorgetown, Ohio . As a child he liked to draw, dreaming that he might publish his owncomic books one day. While majoring inphilosophy andpsychology atOhio State , Hornschemeier was introduced to thegraphic novel Ghost World byDaniel Clowes and was impressed. He saw thatcomics could be a venue for exploring issues that are far from superficial. Following graduation he began publishing his ownblack and white comics, progressive in nature, that have now been compiled byAdHouse Books under the title "The Collected Sequential".
