- Video Vibrations
"Video Vibrations" was a multi-hour long video block that showcased some of hottest
music videos . It is also among one of BET's early video shows. The show debuted on BET in October 1984 and continued through the 1997. In 1997, it was changed to "Vibrations".Hosts
The show's host consisted of a VJ who did voice-overs and hosted unseen. All 3 hosts are prominent in radio as well, as they worked for radio.

*"Captain" Paul Porter (1991-1996).

Throughout its run, "Video Vibrations" had numerous segments that were very popular. Some include:
*Rap Week, a segment dedicated tohip-hop and rap. Numerous artists were interviewed as well. This was also the inspiration for Alvin Jones to create "Rap City ", which is still on the air today.
*Another popular one was The Monday Music Marathon, a showcase of music videos by one artist or genre.
