Richard Punzo

Dr. Richard Punzo, EdD, (July 2, 1949 -) is the President and CEO of Richardson Global, an international training and consulting firm focused on leadership development, project management training and cross-cultural training with offices in the US, Belgium and Singapore.

Punzo was awarded the 2006 US Congressional Medal of Distinction "based on unyielding support of improvements in the global business environment, outstanding leadership in business and contributions to the local economy." Punzo earned his Bachelors Degree with Honors ion Sociology from Brandeis University, where he was a protoge of department chairman Dr. Morris Schwartz ("Tuesdays With Morrie"}. Punzo also earned two Masters degrees and a Doctorate in Policy Planning and Analysis from Columbia University, where he maintained a 3.86/4.0 GPA. He is a published author, frequent international guest speaker and has delivered training to over 30,000 employees in 28 different countries. He is the creator of The Richardson Global Cultural Style Model and The Richardson Global Cultural Style Assessment Inventory, products used to assist corporations in improving their cross-cultural effectiveness or CQ (Cultural Quotient)and has been inducted into MENSA. He is also the author of numerous articles, training programs and publications in the areas of intercultural training, project management, team development and leadership/management development.

During his career, Punzo has worked with four different U.S. Commissioners of Education. He was also recently selected as the keynote speaker for the CHOGM intercultural exposition held in Kampala, Uganda.

Punzo lives with his wife, Cheryl, his two children, three dogs, two cats and two fish in New Jersey, where his free time is occupied with attendance at soccer events, restoring a 1971 Triumph Spitfire, and playing guitar and banjo.
