G. Vadiveloo

Tan Sri G. Vadiveloo is the former Speaker of the Malaysian Senate ("Yang di-Pertua Dewan Negara"). He is also former secretary-general of the Malaysian Indian Congress. The Taiping-born statesman was also the protocol officer during the proclamation of independence ceremony on August 31, 1957 and remembers every moment vividly.
