Fermanagh |The Most Reverend Dr. Patrick Mulligan (born 9 June 1912 - 21 January 1990) was the Roman Catholic Bishop of Clogher in Ireland from 18 January 1970 until 7 July 1979 when he was succeeded by Bishop Joseph Duffy. He was born in Droles, Lisbellaw, County Fermanagh [Bishop Patrick Mulligan [http://www.catholic-hierarchy.org/bishop/bmulligan.html] ] . Bishop Mulligan died on 21 January 1990, aged 78 years.

Patrick Mulligan was the first President of St. Michael's College (Enniskillen), retiring from that position the summer of 1966. In that year, he was appointed to the position of Archdeacon of Clogher and parish priest of Carrickmacross ["The Fermanagh Story", Peadar Livingstone, L.W.N. Hall, Booksellers, Enniskillen, Fourth Edition] . He was appointed Bishop of Clogher on November 28, 1969 and ordained two months later on January 18, 1970. He was preceded by Bishop Eugene O'Callaghan who retired as bishop on November 28, 1969; he was succeeded by Joseph Duffy.
