Lanna International School Thailand (LIST) is an international school in Thailand.

LIST was founded in 1993 to serve the Chiang Mai community and provides a non-sectarian, English language, international coeducational school. LIST is licensed by the Thai Ministry of Education and has been fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) since 2002.

The accreditation process validates the integrity of a school's program and student transcripts. Further it fosters excellence and assures a school community that the school's purposes are appropriate and being accomplished through a viable educational program.

LIST is a member of the East Asia Regional Council of Overseas Schools (EARCOS). In 2005 Lanna also gained the status of becoming a Cambridge University International Examination Centre. LIST offers its students the opportunity to gain an American High School Certificate, but also British qualifications in the form of IGCSEs, As and A levels.

From the beginning, Lanna has encouraged applications from students of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Today, Lanna's 257 students in Foundation Years through Year 13 represent twenty-four nationalities and seventeen languages. Lanna believes that the diversity of its student body is one of its greatest strengths, supporting the school's mission to prepare its students to be responsible world citizens.

Mission Statement

It is the goal of Lanna International School to prepare its students to be responsible world citizens who demonstrate a commitment to life-long learning and the application of that learning to the improvement of self, and local and global communities. We believe that it is vital for Lanna’s students, while at school, to learn to live alongside and to respect those from other countries and cultures, thus learning to be responsible world citizens.

Philosophy

Lanna’s philosophy holds two things in balance: the individual educational interests of the student and the student’s life within the wider community. We start with respect for each student and for the unique qualities, interests and talents which each student brings to our school community. We are proud of our diverse student body. As our students learn to respect and value those who are different, they also learn to value and respect themselves.
