The Lion Salt Works is the last remaining open pan saltworks in
Cheshire ,England . It is situated in Marston, near toNorthwich inCheshire .Lion Salt Works was established in
1894 by the Thompson family and remained in their ownership for five generations.The Thompson family had been producing salt since 1842.
