Floyd Charles

Dr. Floyd Charles is a fictional character in the "Left Behind" series, by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins.

Prior to the Rapture, Floyd practiced medicine, primarily in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was married to a woman who was among those who vanished. While he is described as never having been a religious man, his daughter's death in a bus accident on her very first day of school is said to have pushed him further from faith. His wife pleaded with him for many years to get saved, but he did not become a Christian until after the Rapture.

Floyd serves as physician to the Tribulation Force and lives with them for some time. He cares for Chloe Steele Williams during her pregnancy and delivers her son, Kenneth Bruce Williams (or Kenny Bruce), at the end of Apollyon. At the same time, he treats Hattie Durham's poisoning and pregnancy. When Hattie miscarries the fetus due to the poisoning, Floyd comes into contact with the poison. He passes away in Assassins and is laid to rest at the safe house.
