The eleventh edition of the Men's Football Tournament at the Pan American Games was held in

The USA's U-23 team included a number of players from the highly successful U-20 World Championship squad of
1989 , includingBrad Friedel ,Joe-Max Moore ,Steve Snow ,Cobi Jones andClaudio Reyna . They were also helped by the South American boycott of the Games. High scorers for the US were Snow (four goals), and Reyna (two goals).References
