Adi Litia Cakobau Mara-Dugdale is a member of
Fiji nobility , descended from theVuanirewa Clan of Lau and theTuisawau family of Rewa. She is the fifth child and fourth daughter ofRatu Sir Kamisese Mara , Fiji’s first Prime Minister, second President andTui Nayau (Paramount Chief of theLau Islands ), and was namesake to her mother Ro Lady Lala Mara, who wasRoko Tui Dreketi (Paramount Chief of Rewa and Burebasaga). It was made completely out of traditional
tapa cloth , a fabric hand-made from the bark of the mulberry tree. The dress was made by famousNew Zealand designerAnnie Bonza and is now on display in theFiji Museum .She currently resides in
Suva . Her last major public engagements in Fiji were the funerals of both her parents in2004 . She has two children, Michael Timoci Tavanavanua Dugdale and Charlotte Kathryn Maopa Mara Dugdale.
