Vexatious stalking

Vexatious stalking is a term for a fabricated false criminal accusation(s) by a stalker, which is brought regardless of its merit, solely to harass or subdue a victim. Vexatious stalkers may use manipulative behavior in order to have the victim falsely arrested or falsely convicted of a crime. Unmerited fabricated false criminal legal action by the stalker against the victim is to cause psychological harm, economic loss, physical confinement; which is to further torment, devastate, and harass the victim.

The goal of the stalker is to frighten and distress the victim. These stalkers may also experience feelings of injustice and desire revenge. Victim's of stalking should; Report stalking to the police or other law enforcement authorities and always ask for a police report. The authorities will be assessing the veracity of stalking claims, having a written documentation of events, saved evidence, and available witness’s makes gaining support and assistance less problematic. In your description of the stalking events be sure to provide details regarding threats, your reactions to the stalker's behaviors, and any evidence of the event(s). It is also very important to save any letters, taped answering machine messages/photos/video recordings, gifts, police reports, or medical reports pertaining to the stalking. The written documentation and physical evidence will help to establish a pattern of behavior and verification of the stalking events.
