William Delacombe

William Delacombe

William Delacombe (July 20, 1860 — October 14, 1911) was an Ascension Island-born English cricketer. He played for Derbyshire between 1894 and 1900.

Delacombe made his debut in a friendly match two years prior to his first appearance in the County Championship. He only played sporadically between 1896 and 1900, and, as a tailending batsman and an expensive, ineffective bowler, was absent from the County Championship for much of this time, playing only twice in his final season.

Delacombe was a lower-order batsman. He was born in Georgetown, Ascension Island and died in Nottingham.
