- Longboat roadrunners
Longboat Roadrunnersis a Toronto based club formed in 1980 to promote running and sportsmanship in general, and to provide a club atmosphere in which members may develop their running skills and participate in a program of social activities. Runners of all ages and skill levels are welcome in the club. Social membership is available to interested non-runners.
[http://www.longboatroadrunners.com Longboat Roadrunners] is named in honour of Tom Longboat, a native Canadian who achieved prominence as a distance runner in the years leading up to World War I.

The [http://www.longboatroadrunners.com/scholarship.html Longboat Roadrunners Award] is a financial award will be given on an annual basis to an aboriginal student who is a member of an Intercollegiate Team at the University of Toronto, with preference given to a long-distance runner. The award will be presented at the Faculty's annual T-Holders' Academic Excellence awards ceremony.
