Charles H. Duell

Charles H. Duell

Charles H. Duell was the commissioner of the United States Patent and Trademark Office in 1899 and is famous for purportedly saying "Everything that can be invented has been invented." However this has been debunked as apocryphal by librarian Samuel Sass [http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m2843/is_3_27/ai_100755224] .
