Adult Web Movie Database

The Adult Web Movie Database (AWMDB) is an online database of information pertaining to the adult industry, covering actresses and movies in a computer format. It is similar to the Internet Adult Film Database, in that it is open to the public and is searchable but rather than cataloging DVD movies it catalogs movies on websites in a downloadable media and streaming media format.

The site contains a list of websites and or actresses from all over the world along with their webographies and biographies. It smells simple but is a powerful search feature allowing users to find actresses, websites and all those that have starred on a particular website. Like the Internet Adult Film Database and the Internet Movie Database it relies on user submissions to help with corrections and additions using a simple submission tool, although these are not instant with all submissions being checked and approved before taking place.

AWMDB has been online since 2006. In August 2007 the site was redesigned with additional features including full scene details for each actress' appearances on a website with listings for over 10,750 scenes and photoshoots appearing on several hundred websites.

On October 1, 2007 AWMDB was mentioned in an article about the Internet Adult Film Database from the online equivalent of Brazilian newspaper Folha de S. Paulo [cite web|url=http://www1.folha.uol.com.br/folha/informatica/ult124u332813.shtml|title=Brazilian Online Newspaper Article|accessdate=2007-10-01] .

In May 2008 an area of the site called 'StarBloggers' was launched that sees a different member of the adult industry writing a weblog for the site every four weeks.
