Philip N. Johnson

Philip N. Johnson

Philip Noel Johnson was an employee of Loomis, Fargo & Co. in Jacksonville, Florida, who pulled off the largest heist in U.S. history in 1997. He overpowered two other co-workers and left them handcuffed in different locations. He stole $18.8 million, stashed most of it in a storage shed in Mountain Home, North Carolina, and moved to Mexico. He was apprehended at the U.S. border with Mexico, and eventually convicted and sentenced to 25 years in prison.
