Alejandro Alfaro Ligero, Alfaro (born 23 November 1986 in La Palma del Condado), is a Spanish football midfielder. He plays currently plays for "Segunda División" side CD Tenerife, on loan from Sevilla FC.

Club career

A product of Sevilla FC's youth system, Alfaro was one of Sevilla Atlético's (the B-side) most important players from 2005, helping it achieve promotion to "Segunda División" in 2006-07. He had previously made his first team debut, on April 30, 2006, playing 10 minutes in a 2-1 win at Real Sociedad.

On January 28, 2007, Alfaro netted his first "La Liga" goal, as a starter in a 4-2 win at Levante UD, also appearing in 4 UEFA Cup contests in the side's victorious campaign.

However, Alfaro was nothing more than a fringe player with the main side in his first three seasons, barred mainly by Jesús Navas (he did score 7 goals in 34 matches to help the B-team maintain its second level status), and would leave the Andalusia side for 2008-09, joining CD Tenerife on loan.
