Nectowance (c. 1600-1649) was the
Weroance (chief) of thePamunkey tribe following the death of his fatherFact|date=March 2007Opechancanough . After his death he was succeeded byTotopotomoi as Weroance of the tribe. He signed a Treaty with the Colony of Virginia in 1645, at which time he was called by the English "King of the Indians."ources
