Paul Mayhew-Archer

Paul Mayhew-Archer is a writer and script editor for the BBC.

He studied English at Cambridge University after attending Eastbourne College, being a member of Reeves House. He spent his time at school writing plays.

Before becoming a script writer for the BBC, Mayhew-Archer worked in Radio as a producer of comedy programmes and before that as an English teacher.

His most notable works have been "The Vicar of Dibley" (main co-writer with Richard Curtis, the series' creator) and "My Hero" though he also wrote for "Spitting Image", "Old Harry's Game" and "Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps".

Paul Mayhew-Archer now resides in Abingdon.
