Gholamreza Rouhani

Gholamreza Rouhani (May 11, 1897 - August 30, 1985) was an Iranian humorous poet in the 20th century.

He was born in Mashhad but raised in Tehran. He is one of the most influential humorous poets in Iran as Mohammad Ali Jamalzadeh calls him "Head of the Humorous Poets"".

He had just 22 years old that his poems published in various magazines and newspapers including "Omid", "Nasim e Shomal" and "Tofigh" in Tehran. His poetry is truly the mirror of the "Old Tehran" and culture of Tehranis at that time. He usually talks about social issues and human values in his poetry. He died in 1985 in Tehran.
