Aah (also known as Aa, Ah, Aos, Iah, Aah Tehuti, Aah Te-huti) was a moon god from
Egyptian mythology , in charge of the Moon Year. Aah's name meant "moon", also "collar", "to embrace", and "defender".He was known for gambling away five days of moonlight in a dice game to
Thoth who put the five days of moonlight into the month of July. This in turn helped Nut and Geb have some children,Seth ,Isis ,Osiris ,Nepthynes , and sometimesHorus . He accompanied mainlyKhonsu .Rarely he was upon the head of a sitting
Osiris with whom he was known in texts as Osiris-Aah. He could be seen as Thoth-Aah with a crescent upon a pedestal standing in a boat.He participated in "The Book of the Dead" and was self quoted in a prayer saying: "I am the moon-god Aah, the dweller among the gods".
