Roleplayer (magazine)

Roleplayer (magazine)

"Roleplayer" was a magazine devoted to the subject of role-playing games. Published by Steve Jackson Games, "Roleplayer" #1 debuted in February 1986; it replaced "The Space Gamer" as the company's periodical of choice to reach out to their fan base. "Roleplayer" #30, the final issue, was published in January 1993 shortly before the debut of "Pyramid", Steve Jackson Games' most successful gaming magazine. For the first six issues, it was a free newsletter. After that, from issue #7 to issue #14 it cost $1.00; from issue #15 through issue #20 it cost $2.00; and, from issue #21 to the end of the run it had a cover price of $3.50.
