University of Kentucky , he played 3 years with theMontreal Alouettes (1969 to 1971) for a total of 42 games. His best year was 1970, when he intercepted 9 passes and was an all star and runner up for theCFL's Most Outstanding Canadian Award . He also played an important role in the Lark'sGrey Cup victory in 1970, intercepting 2 passes in the58th Grey Cup game. He also intercepted 4 passes in 1969 and 3 in 1971.In the 1970's Al Phaneuf operated a Christian "Youth Ranch" serving high school students on Montreal's West Island.
Presently, Al Phaneuf, Founder and President of Gracewood Products, located in
Longwood, Florida , has been custom crafting wood products for over forty years. He learned his cabinet making trade in Montreal, Canada from master European & Canadian Craftsmen, and has worked as a trim carpenter and wood artisan for the past 25 years.Persondata
