Stuart S. Nagel (1934–2001) was Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Born in
West Rogers Park , Chicago, he attendedSenn High School and Central YMCA High School at his hometown. Later he completed his undergraduate and graduate studies atNorthwestern University , receiving a Ph.D. inPolitical Science in 1961. Well-known by having coined the terms "super-optimizing" and "win-win analysis", he advanced the boundaries of policy studies.
