Eurovision Song Contest 1976 , performed in English bySandra Reemer .The song is sung from the perspective of a young woman at a party who is attempting to work out whether she should stay or leave. She sings that the party itself is coming to an end, which would suggest that leaving is a good option. If she stays, however, she can at least be in the same room as a former lover who is also present. The conclusion of the song is left ambiguous, with Reemer wondering if she is dreaming about the former lover talking to her.
The song was performed eighth on the night (following Ireland's
Red Vincent Hurley with "When" and precedingNorway 'sAnne Karine Strøm with "Mata Hari"). At the close of voting, it had received 56 points, placing 9th in a field of 18.It was succeeded as Dutch representative at the 1977 Contest by
Heddy Lester with "De Mallemolen ".
