Robert Lloyd (born June 5 1959, Cannock, Staffordshire) is the lead singer with The Nightingales and formerly with The Prefects.[cite book |last=Strong |first=Martin C. |title=The Great Alternative & Indie Discography |year= 1999 |publisher=Canongate |isbn=0-86241-913-1 ] When The Nightingales split in 1986, Lloyd embarked on a solo career, signing to Virgin Records and releasing the album "Me and My Mouth". The Nightingales re-formed in 2004. Robert now has a son called Louis and continues to reside in the West Midlands.]olo discography
