Bonnie Bryant (golfer)

Bonnie Bryant (golfer)

Bonnie Bryant (born 1943) is an American golfer, the only player in LPGA history to win a tournament left handed. She won the 1974 Bill Branch LPGA Classic with a five-under-par 67 for the $5,700 first prize. She also tied for 2nd in a five-way sudden death playoff at the 1979 LPGA Coca-Cola Classic (won by Nancy Lopez).

Bryant was born in Tulare, California. Her rookie season was in 1971. She didn't take up golf until age 20, learning from Vic Lombardi, a National League pitcher for Brooklyn and Pittsburgh. Prior to taking up golf, she played five years of AAA-fast pitch softball.
