Inlogov is the Institute of Local Government Studies at the
University of Birmingham in theUnited Kingdom . It is a leading centre for the applied study of local and community governance. It has 46 staff members and a research income of around £1m per annum. INLOGOV is currently home to 90 undergraduates, 139 postgraduates (many on itsAMBA -accredited Public ServiceMBA ), and 14 PhD students. Over 1,150 policy-makers and managers from across the public and non-profit sectors attended the department's seminars and development programmes in the last year.Location
Inlogov is located on the second floor of the JG Smith Building, located to the north of the main University of Birmingham Edgbaston campus, on Pritchatts Road.
ir Michael Lyons
Sir Michael Lyons was the previous head of the department from 2001-2006. He left to undertake groundbreaking research into local government for the thenPrime Minister Tony Blair .External links
