Canaan Ngandu

Canaan Ngandu (b. c. 1972) is a Zimbabwean sculptor.

A native of Goromonzi, Ngandu was the second child in a family of eight. He was raised by his grandmother in various townships, first in Mufakose and later in Chitungwiza. His ancestral home is in Chiweshe.

Ngandu began drawing in school, reaching secondary school before becoming a sculpture. Although untutored, he has said that he learned his trade from watching Kennedy Migeri and Moses Masaya at work in their studios.
