Stephen K. Yamashiro

Stephen Kei Yamashiro was the mayor of Hawaii County from 1992 until 2000. He served two four-year terms (1992-96, 1996-2000).

Post-Mayoral Career

Yamashiro is a member of the Hawaii Tourism Authority and chairman of its budget committee. Western United Life Assurance Company hired him as project manager to promote its planned residential development in Hilo. [http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2004/May/17/ln/ln18a.html]
