RFA Abadol

RFA "Abadol" was a tanker in the British Royal Fleet Auxiliary

She was built in Glasgow as the Elder liner "Montezuma" by Alexander Stephens and Sons Ltd in 1899. She was converted to a dummy battleship mimicking HMS "Iron Duke" in 1914. She later became the tanker "Abadol" in 1915. In February 1917 she was renamed "Oakleaf". She was lost five months later when on July 25 1917 she was torpedoed by the German submarine UC-41 64 miles NW1/4W from the Butt of Lewis.
