In order to serve Europe’s need and to maintain its position in the global market for mobile and wireless systems in the 2010-2020 time horizon, it will be necessary now to develop large-scale European approaches to system research and development, and to mobile services and applications in the context of digital convergence.To this end, the "e"Mobility Platform will define and implement a comprehensive research agenda in the mobile and wireless sector.
The freedom of movement of people and business is growing as mobile and wireless technologies overcome constraints to communication.
