Construction on the center by
Valley Transit began onSeptember 12 ,1989 , and service began onMarch 1 ,1990 . It was the first transit center built in Appleton. It has climate controlled waiting rooms, publicwashroom s, apayphone and free direct line telephones to Valley Transit, andvending machine s. The north side of the building is the location of theGreyhound Lines office. Additional benches are outside, where there are designated bus boarding bays in atraffic -freetransfer area, and the entire grounds, inside and out, are non-smoking.ervice
The Appleton Transit Center is the center of the
Valley Transit system, as most bus routes terminate there. The northwest corner of the property is the boarding place for Greyhound buses, travelling betweenGreen Bay, Wisconsin andMilwaukee, Wisconsin . The center also sees service fromLamers Bus Lines . Through ticketing is available fromAmtrak ; the Amtrak code for the center is APP.External links
