- Talbot Rice Gallery
The Talbot Rice Gallery is part of the
University of Edinburgh , inScotland and was established in 1975. It takes its name fromDavid Talbot Rice , the Watson Gordon Professor of Fine Art at the University of Edinburgh from 1934–1972.The Gallery is based in the University's historic Old College by
William Henry Playfair and receives funding from theScottish Arts Council in addition to the University. The Gallery comprises three exhibition spaces: the light, modern and airy "White Gallery", housing around five main shows per annum; the historic "Georgian Gallery" with an interior by Playfair, which is home to the University's permanent collectionscite news
