biodiversity hotspot designated byConservation International , which extends from easternIndia and southernChina acrossSoutheast Asia , excluding theMalay Peninsula . The Conservation International hotspot includes all of the World Wildlife Fund'sIndochina Bioregion , but also includes theMeghalaya subtropical forests , which the WWF includes in itsIndian Subcontinent Bioregion .The hotspot includes portions of eastern India (including the
Andaman and Nicobar Islands ), southernmost China, most ofMyanmar (excluding the northern tip), most ofThailand (excluding the southern tip), and all ofCambodia ,Laos , andVietnam .The hotspot encompasses 33
terrestrial ecoregion s, which includetropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests ,tropical and subtropical dry broadleaf forests ,tropical and subtropical coniferous forests ,temperate broadleaf and mixed forests , andmangrove s.External links
