Attorney General of the United States from 1909 to 1913, in the administration of PresidentWilliam Howard Taft .Wickersham was named by
Woodrow Wilson to serve on theWar Trade Board toCuba soon after theUnited States enteredWorld War I . In 1929Herbert Hoover named him to theNational Commission on Law Observance and Enforcement , the so calledWickersham Commission .Wickersham was President of the
