Richard Arlen Anderson (born November 29 1956 in Everett, Washington) is a pitching coach for the Minnesota Twins in Major League Baseball. He was named the pitching coach in 2002. Before that he was the pitching coach for class AAA Salt Lake for 7 years. He was also a class AA coach and a class A coach since he joined the Twins organization in 1989. In 1978 he was drafted in the 24th round by the New York Mets, with whom he made his major league debut on June 9, 1986. After the single season with the Mets, he played with the Kansas City Royals until 1988.
Personal
