All-American Girls Professional Baseball League , playing out ofFort Wayne, Indiana . They debuted in 1945, replacing theMinneapolis Millerettes . They went 62-47 in their first season and finished 4 and a half games behind the first placeRockford Peaches . They spent several years near the bottom of the league, but finished first in the league's last three seasons, 1951-1954. They featured sister players Betty Foss and Joanne Weaver, who helped them capture the last five batting championships of the league and pitcherJaynne Bittner . They made it to the playoffs in every year from 1947 to 1954, but never won the title.Former Players
