MTX is an
automobile that has been made inCzechoslovakia and now in theCzech Republic by "MTX R5 sp.o.o" ofPrague since 1969. "MTX" is short for "Metalex". Originally, it was a repair shop for Škoda racers.The first single-seater racer ""MTX 1-01", appeared in 1970. During the 1980s,
Formula Easter cars, autocross buggies and rally cars (based on Škoda and Lada) were produced. In 1989 - 1990Skoda Rapid convertible was made in a few copies in cooperation with the GermanHeinzinger firm. In the 1990s, the company made 2 models: "MTX Roadster" (based onSkoda Favorit ) and " MTX Cabrio" (based onSkoda Felicia ). During the 1990s, a model named "MTX Tatra Sport" was made in 4 copies. Currently abeach buggy with a plastic body is offered, based onHyundai parts.External links
